Some mild toning from tissue guards (to notes vol, half title, colophon), small area of foxing at lower inside cover, small label to upper inside cover, spine a little darkened.
Provenance: Charles E. Merrill [1885-1956, co-founder of Merrill Lynch] (letter from Random House laid in to notes); Henry Root Stern, Jr (exhibition label laid in).
