Letterpress title, advertisement, and contents leaf. 46 hand-colored engraved double-page maps, each with borders of letterpress descriptive text, several hand-colored engraved tables, engraved table of comparative heights of world mountains. Period half morocco, gilt spine titles. Endpapers creased and soiled, browning to United States map, light offsetting to a few others, tear to Louisiana map at centerfold, upper cover starting, leather rubbed and boards scuffed.
