FIRST EDITION of Raleigh's unfinished world history, written while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London. The opening verse is by Ben Jonson. Raleigh's description of the site and topography of Paradise is cited as an important source for Milton. Pforzheimer 820; STC 20637.
