Browning and spotting, occasionally heavy, the second page of woodcuts shaved into the image area at the lower margin, s1, s3 and s6 shaved at the lower margin with some loss to catchwords, binding rebacked.

FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH of Mocquet's description of his voyages. Between 1601 and 1612 he made five separate voyages: to the west coast of Africa, the second to South America, the third to Morocco, the fourth to Goa, the fifth to the Holy Land. His account was first published in Paris in 1617. The present work is particularly valuable for its description of Brazil and of the West and East Indies.
