Historiated initial on an earlier vellum leaf, [probably Italy, the initial 18th century, the leaf 16th century]. Fragment of a single leaf from a choral, recto with large initial H enclosing the Nativity, the initial in pale blue and red on a dark blue ground with foliage of white and pale green, gold halos and decorations, the verso with musical notation on 4-line stave, 200 x 210 mm, some smudging, framed.
