Single leaf from the Calendar section, the start of the month of January, 17 lines, red, blue, brown and gold inks, gothic bookhand, written space 143 x 105 mm, two-line initial in pink, blue, red, white and gold, and FULL-PAGE TROMPE L'OEIL BORDER on recto and quarter trompe l'oeil border on verso incorporating TWO VIGNETTES: the border on gold ground with polychrome pansies, pinks, roses, a strawberry, and three rock doves (one in flight), etc. the illuminated vignettes on the recto depicting a man feasting and on the verso, Aquarius. Six tiny wormholes, some corner soiling.
