A large Sèvres style porcelain gilt bronze mounted urn
late 19th century
With pierced and grape and vine leaf rim, flanked by scroll handles, centered by a panel of a maiden seated with a book on her lap as she pulls petals from a rose, accompanied by a putto, within gilt heightened borders against a turquoise ground, above rams heads suspending oak and acorn garlands, on square foot and conforming base with outstepped corners applied with female mask, on spool feet.
