A French gilt and patinated bronze and rouge marble clock garniture
second half 19th century
Comprising a mantel clock and pair of urns; the clock surmounted by a bust of Napoleon, after Canova, the rectangular case centered by the circular dial with Roman hours, the twin train movement with outside count wheel and silk suspension striking on a bell, above an eagle with wings spread, on plinth base and bracket feet; the urns of campana form flanked by handles with mask terminals, raised on similar bases applied with ribbon tied laurel wreath mounts.
