Property from the Estate of Charles and Eleanor de Limur, San Francisco. Items from the collection the de Limur's started two generations ago. Most were acquired during the de Limur's long tenure living in Paris at the Palais Royale in the 1960's.
An assembled fifteen piece tortoiseshell lady's dresser set
early 20th century
Comprising three pairs of matched graduated square section cut glass bottles and a jar each with French silver gilt mounts and monogrammed EJS, heights between 6 1/4 x 3 3/4in; square compact with interior mirror, powder compartment and removable lipstick, monogrammed ES; cigarette case, three manicure implements and a corkscrew each monogrammed EJS; rectangular tray, dimensions 9 3/4in x 6 3/4in and a nail buffer.
