Edo period
Nagasa: 22.9 cm.; suguha, iroi-mune, hakikake-ji, copper habaki with mixed metal inlay of leafy bamboo, unsigned tang; matched brass set of fuchi-kashira, end piece and kozuka worked with birds-and-flowers with gold and silver accents; kogai with gilt and shakudo bamboo design; red leather-wrapped rayskin hilt; saya with an aka-nashiji ground flecked with aogai and decorated with two recessed black oak leaves; together with a boxwood bokuto carved with dragons and tigers, with bronze fittings.
