Taisho/Early Showa period
The first of pear shape with bamboo rhizomes incorporated into the irregular plaiting below three wide horizontal bands and various patterns of twining tapering to wide mouth framed by a loosely plaited handle; the second with wide diagonal bamboo strips inserted into the hexagonal plaiting of the ovoid body with a bamboo loop handle; the third an ovoid jar-form container of plain weave within a cage of twisted hexagonal plaiting merging into the shoulder of fine twining, a pair of small wrapped bamboo handles flanking the twisted bamboo rim band.
