A buff sandstone stele of Vishnu
Central India, Madhya Pradesh, circa 11th century
The well-modeled torso and upper legs are adorned with jewels, necklaces and pleated sashes, his left upper hand holds the disc and a plump youthful attendant figure seated above on the architectural column at the back.
