Of compressed circular form, the exterior decorated with deeply carved decoration in red, black and yellow hues, the lid centered with a large roundel containing two dragons flanking a large chun (Spring) character which further contains a roundel of Shoulao seated beneath a tree, all above a footed bowl containing the Eight Treasures emitting oblique rays, the sides of the vessel with cartouches containing fruiting plants and separated by the Eight Auspicious Emblems, the two halves meeting with bands of scrolling lingzhi, on a raised foot with key-fret design.
