An embroidered silk and hardwood table screen with mother-of-pearl inlay

The rectangular ivory silk panel intricately embroidered in fine silk threads with pairs of birds assembled to admire the preening peacock and peahen amid flowering plants, a garden rock and towering pine tree; set within a glazed hardwood frame inlaid with mother-of-pearl tiles that repeat on the spandrels and aprons of the conforming stand with transverse feet (minimal staining to cloth, wear to wood and some losses to inlay).
