A carved cinnabar lacquer snuff bottle
Of flattened globular shape with slightly tapered neck, flat lip, a short oval foot rim surrounding its concave flat base, the cinnabar lacquer applied to a metal core, carved with two boys to either side beneath a tree, separated by craggy rocks, all against a background with carefully incised geometric patterns, between vertical lappet borders (small chips, staining).
2 7/8in (7.3cm) high
