A pale green jade double covered vase
Late Qing dynasty/Republic period
Carved in the form of two conjoined oval sectioned vases, each raised on four feet, the bodies encircled by taotie masks, the animal head and loop handles supporting loose ring and reticulated chains attached to the conforming covers with lion finials; the gray-green matrix polished with a bright finish and displaying icy white inclusions (three legs broken and repaired).
