The domed lid with two reticulated panels showing opposing beasts, flanked by handles of foliate design with beast-form masks issuing free-moving rings, surmounted by a dragon-form finial above four loop and free-moving rings, the whole raised atop a waisted stem with conforming loop and ring handles and terminating in a domed foot; the matrix of a gray-blue hue with inclusions of russet and brown tones.
