Each ink on paper, mounted; the first dedicated to Yu Meizhen nushi and signed Liu Bingsen with two seals of the artist reading Liu Bingsen yin and Haicun nong; the second signed Liu Bingsen with four seals of the artist reading Haicun nong, Liu Wu, Liu Bingsen and Tao Tang zhi hou; the third signed Liu Bingsen with two seals of the artist reading Haicun nong and Bingsen shu hua, (creases, stains).

  • Liu Bingsen was particularly well-known for his calligraphy in clerical and regular scripts. After graduating from the Fine Arts Academy in Beijing in 1962, he was employed for many decades at the Palace Museum in Beijing as a researcher on ancient Chinese calligraphy.
