A pair of famille rose enameled porcelain vases
Qianlong marks, Late Qing/Republic Period
The bodies of inverted pear shape atop cylindrical bases, surmounted by waisted necks and supporting molded beast-head mock ring handles at the shoulders, the sides intricately decorated with continuous figural tableaux depicting a panoply of Daoist deities including the Eight Immortals, Shoulao, Magu, the Hehe Erxian, and the three Stars of Happiness all between a yellow vine and lotus ground and supported by thick foot rings encircling deeply recessed bases covered in a clear glaze and bearing the six-character marks in underglaze blue seal script (minor chip to rim of one vase).
