An assembled grouping of blue and white soft paste porcelain vessels
The first a 18th century meiping surmounted by a narrow waisted neck atop wide globular shoulders supported by a flared foot encircling a recessed base, the exterior surfaces decorated in an intricate continuous riverside scene rendered in shades of gradated cobalt (foot rim broken and restored); the second a small cylindrical vessel of 18th/19th century date, the exterior surfaces covered in a figural scene of a Daoist sage in a rocky grove of bamboo, pine and lingzhi; together with a pair of ovoid covered jars of Kangxi date decorated with One Hundred Children motifs (large firing crack).
