A pair of massive blue and white porcelain vases

Each of simple baluster form with a trumpet neck and ovoid body, similarly painted with the theme of One Hundred Birds Admiring the Phoenix, the phoenix on one vase facing to the right beneath a pine tree surrounded by other feathered admirers, the phoenix on the second vase facing to the left beneath a wutong tree and both vases reversed by peacocks under flowering prunus branches, the celadon-tinged glaze covering all surfaces except the recessed base and the foot pad (one vase restored).
