A 20 gauge Parker Brothers VHE Grade boxlock shotgun with hang tag and factory letter
Serial no. 172720 for 1916, 20 gauge. 28 inch blued barrels with matte concave rib marked Parker Brothers Makers. Meriden, Conn. Vulcan Steel. White bead fore-sight, rear bead missing. Ejectors. Automatic safety. Signed and border-engraved boxlock action. Checkered walnut splinter fore-end and semi-pistolgrip stock. Vacant shield-shaped German silver escutcheon. Jostam red rubber buttpad. With factory letter and hang tag.
Condition: Fair. Barrels retain 60% blue finish with wear and patches of spotting at breech end. Bores with light marks, left side with dent below muzzle. Fore-end showing wear to checkering and scattered light marks. Buttsock with wear to checkering,scattered light marks, chip to right side at frame juncture and crack to wrist.
