An Indian matchlock torador

The 48 inch tapered octagonal barrel in .61 caliber smoothbore; breech with integral rear sight and marked Lazarin--, probably for a member of the Cominazzo family of Brescia/Gardone, Italy. Action sheathed in undecorated metal plates, now showing areas of old varnish and what appears to be silver paint. Full stock, the fore-end adorned with numerous brass discs; flared buttstock of narrow section and decorated with rows of brass tacks in geometric patterns. Horn buttplate.
Condition: Fair. Metal showing wear and areas of old varnish/painted finish as noted above. Some losses to decorative metalwork. Fore-sight blade missing. Fore-end showing splits and losses.
