A Marlin Model 1893 saddle ring carbine
Serial no. 125417 for 1895, .32-40 caliber. 20 inch barrel; fore-sight blade replaced with non-factory German silver Rocky Mountain type, adjustable rear sight. Blue barrel and tube with casehardened action. Plain walnut stock and fore-end.
Condition: Fair to good. Barrel/tube retain perhaps 20-25% dull blue finish partially turned to brown. Bore with strong lands showing scattered light pitting. Action with generous traces of silvered casehardening. Lever showing some light case colors. Fore-end with few light marks and 40-50% varnish. Buttstock with hairline crack to right side of wrist, long grain crack from buttplate to upper tang and large iron pin repair to wrist.
