A Palmer's Patent breechloading carbine by E.G. Lamson & Co.
Not serialized, .50 caliber. 20 inch blued barrel. Action and lock with standard markings, the later dated 1865. Oil-finished walnut stock. Barrel and stock with MM inspector's marks.
Condition: Fine. Barrel retains most blued finish showing some thinning. Lockplate with traces of darkened casehardening. Stock showing scattered minor marks and repaired crack through wrist.
