A Spencer Model 1865 breechloading carbine
Serial no. 6521, .50 caliber. 20 inch blued barrel marked Model 1865. Casehardened action with standard markings. Sling ring. Oil-finished walnut stock with two inspector's cartouches at left side of wrist. Sling swivels.
Condition: Very good to fine. Barrel retains 97% dull blue finish. Excellent bore. Action with smooth grey metal showing traces of faded casehardening. Sound wood with scattered light marks, right side of buttstock with some discoloration from old display tag and remains of tape to comb.
