An American half-stock percussion rifle by George Pratt Foster

The 35 inch octagonal .52 caliber barrel with large brass blade fore-sight and adjustable rear sight; breech marked Geo.P. Foster/Bristol, R.I. Side flat marked Low Moor. Double set triggers. Engraved back action lock. Engraved German silver furniture. Striped maple half-stock with pewter fore-end cap.
Condition: Good. Barrel has been cleaned and shows scattered light pitting and some wear to markings. Lock with dark grey patina, areas of light pitting and missing head of cock screw. Stock showing deep bruises to left side of wrist, old repaired cracks to wood adjacent to front triggerguard tang and with later coat of varnish.
