A U.S. Remington New Model Army percussion revolver
Serial no. 98866, .44 caliber. 8 inch barrel with standard New Model markings. Walnut grips: the right side probably an old replacement; the left side with worn inspector's cartouche; both showing three deep notches/dents, the right side with adjoining dents to the grip strap.
Condition: Fair. Grey metal showing scattered light pitting and some wear to markings. Action fairly tight. Grips as noted above and showing scattered marks.
