A Colt 3rd Model Thuer Derringer pistol engraved by Phillip L. Quigley
Serial no. 19516, .22 caliber. Fine scroll-engraved coverage after Kornbluth. Silver-plated finish with fire-blued screws, hammer and trigger. Front of frame engraved Eng. P.L. Quigley. Non-factory elephant ivory grips.
Condition: Excellent as redone. Retaining 95% plus finish.

  • Note: Phillip L. Quigley, noted engraver residing in Tucson, Arizona, studied under master engraved Lynton McKenzie and is well-known for his fine quality work. In 1997 he was commissioned by the Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Los Angeles to engrave a pair of Colt single action army revolvers for film star Gene Autry on his 90th birthday.
