A lot of three photographs of Civil War soldiers
Comprising: 1) 1/6th plate tintype, 3/4 standing studio portrait of an infantry officer, his sash and cheeks tinted pink, his insignia and sword hilt gold; at his side a flag-draped table with his kepi and behind him a painted landscape with a flag on one side and palm trees on the other. Sharp image. Mounted in a fine oval gilt brass patriotic frame pierced with meander and surmounted by a large spread eagle. 2) Another and also a sharp image, standing 3/4 portrait of a Union infantryman standing at attention, his musket grounded; in gilt mount and leatherette case, the lid detached. 3) 1/9th plate ambrotype, a bust portrait of a clear-eyed Union soldier, mounted in patriotic thermoplastic case.
Condition: 1), 2) Very good, few very minor marks. 3) Plate mounted on another piece of glass, some wear to forehead area, lower right corner chipped.
