Curved 35 inch blade, ricasso marked U.S./LD/1862 and one the reverse Made by/Ames Mfg Co/Chicopee/Mass. Brass hilt of standard pattern. Iron two-ring scabbard.
Condition: Blade showing patches of staining. Hilt with dark patina. Grip with tears and losses to leather and missing most of the brass wire. Scabbard with dark patina and one deep dent 12 inches above drag.
