A lot of two inscribed U.S. Model 1902 sabers for all officers
both retailed in Boston, Massachusetts
Comprising: 1) Example from Rosenfield & Rankin, 32 inch nickel-plated blade, the 22 inch etched panel with inscription Albert Packard; nickeled hilt and scabbard of standard pattern; bakelite grip; brown leather sword knot. 2) Example from William Read & Sons; 34 inch blade with 22 inch etched panel inscribed Lt. Urban W. Marshall; nickeled hilt and scabbard of standard pattern; horn grip; leather sword knot.
Condition: 1) Fine blade with light wear and minor bubbling to nickel. Hilt with light wear and frosting to finish. Sword knot heavily scuffed and with losses. Scabbard showing pinpoint spotting and losses to finish around suspension ring. 2) Excellent blade. Hilt and scabbard with dark patina. Sword knot with light scuffing.
