A Japanese shin-gunto officer's sword
Slightly curved 27 inch blade with temper line and signed tang. Standard Showa 9 pattern military mounts; grip wrapped in white shagreen and olive drab cloth tape; brown-painted iron scabbard, the mounted with gilt trim.
Condition: Blade showing some light spotting and scratches. Mounts with some wear to gilding. Grip wrap with light staining. Scabbard with some chips to finish.
