A lot of four eastern knives
19th and early 20th century
Comprising: 1) Khyber knife, 18 inch single edged T-section blade, bone gripscales. 2) North African flyssa, 12 inch blade of characteristic form inlaid with engraved brass panels, brass bird's head grip engraved with scrollwork, wooden scabbard. 3) Balkan example with broad 9 inch single edged blade; hilt with engraved brass bolster, bone gripscales with eared pommel and inlaid with colored roundels and brass circles; copper-covered scabbard. 4) Iraqi Jambiya: broad, sharply curved 6 inch blade; one-piece grip of green horn, the grip with German silver panel, the pointed pommel with circular brass plaque; wooden scabbard with rocker-engraved brass mounts.
Condition: 1) Pitted overall, gripscales replaced. 2) Small nicks to edge, lower part of scabbard with losses. 3) Good. 4) Scabbard marks.
