A lot of three Arabian jambiya
19th or early 20th century
Comprising: 1) Oman/southeast Arabia; 6 3/4 inch blade of characteristic form; brown horn grip, probably rhino, with silver mounts; associated silver-mounted scabbard covered in green cloth and brown leather. 2) Another, broad 6 1/2 inch blade; silver-mounted buffalo horn grip with T-form pommel; silver-mounted scabbard. 3) Wahabite example; curved 14 inch blade with double fullers; German silver-covered grip of characteristic form with knobbed, cruciform pommel; German silver and brass-mounted scabbard.
Condition: 1) and 2) Blade showing areas of corrosion, scabbards and hilt with dark, unpolished patina and scattered light marks. 3) Clean blade and hilt, the scabbard missing part of the leather covering on the reverse and with wire wrap loose.
