A Sumatran 'executioner's' keris
Broad straight 20 3/4 inch blade with central fuller. Wooden hilt of simple form with pistolgrip pommel and simple relief panels above a relief-carved blossom band and simple iron ferrule. Simple varnished wooden scabbard, with boat-shaped wrangka.
Condition: Blade with dark brown patina showing wear and some light pitting. Grip cracked. Scabbard with light marks and chipping to one end of throat and to body just under throat.
