The work depicts an important mythological story from an area called Walu in the artist's father's country Nganturu. It is typical of the many stories told to Tommy Mitchell since childhood.

The artist is represented in numerous public and private collections and has exhibited at the Museum and Art Gallery of Northern Territory during the NATSIA 2006 Awards.
