This handsome example of the iconic Maori hand club is finely carved with rolling spirals (unauanahi) on both sides, the handle carved with the head of a beaked bird, pierced under the head for suspension; fine dark-brown patina; "MAORI CLUB BOVIS COLL." written in ink in the center circle on one side.
