The carved hardwood female figure seated on a four-legged stool nursing a child; her naturalistic, serene face with open almond-shaped eyes, raised and incised brows, demure nose and closed mouth with full lips. A full, complex coiffure on forward-positioned head; well-proportioned torso with full, extended breasts, the arms extended with wrist bands, detailed hands holding child; her buttocks seated on the stool with her legs bent at the knees; with beaded/cowrie-shaped leg bands below knees. She wears a waist garment with beaded belt attached. Raised keloids on her forehead, sides of her face, cheeks and each side of her lips. The sides and back of her neck and symmetrically on her upper chest and on her upper and lower back. Large keloids surround navel. The child, also wearing a waist garment, with a detailed face with puffed cheeks, holding the breast with both hands while nursing; encrusted reddish brown-black glossy patina.
