The hollowed, oval mask is pierced around the edges, eyes and below the nostrils, the slightly open mouth with uniformly inset metal teeth. The artist has intricately accentuated the surface with linear incisions on the domed forehead, cheeks and chin; the surface overall shows much age and patina indicative of much use.
