Two jade ornaments
17th and 19th century
The first an oval plaque of thin section and slight curvature, reticulated with birds alighting amid lotus, water plant tendrils and waves, the pale greenish-white matrix marked with natural hairline fissures and opaque oatmeal colored inclusions; the second a thinly sectioned hairpin with reticulated finial combining a lingzhi fungus head, wanzi reserve and a bat, the translucent off-white matrix displaying icy white inclusions and a vein of very pale russet hue (restored).
