A group of four snuff bottles
The first of dark brown stone and cylindrical in shape, carved in relief with bamboo and two characters in archaic seal script, the decoration colored with green pigment (natural fissure lines); the second of turquoise matrix with animal masks and mock rings on the shoulders of the spade-shaped body (old chips); the third of striated agate with a waisted neck of circular section, flattened ovoid body and recessed oval base (wear to interior rim); the fourth of mottled yellow and brown agate, the flattened globular body with conforming raised roundels to the opposing vases, oval plaques in to the shoulders and oval concave base (chipped); all with stoppers.
