An assembled grouping
18th/19th century
Comprising five steel and bone table knives with damascene decorated blades; French carved wood printing block commemorating General Louis Lazare Hoche (1768 – 1797), inscribed au Gén. HOCHE, La Patrie Reconnaiss., dimensions 6 x 14 3/4in; French straw work circular box depicting Mars and Venus, diameter 3in; Renaissance style carved stone figure of a woman holding a dog raised on rectangular plinth, height overall 6 3/4in; Blue John finial; cannon ball from Spanish ship sunk in 1733; bronze relief plaque of Napoleon; steel paper knife with damascene and gilt decorated blade in case and sixteen glass seals based on Medieval and later examples with some composition impressions of same.
