Comprising two animalier studies after Antoine-Louis Barye, (French, 1795-1875), the first Elephant du Senegal (Running Elephant), incised BARYE, length 3 3/4in; the second a Tortue sur plinthe carree (turtle), incised BARYE, 714, No.2, length 2 3/4in; silvered bronze and parcel gilt barrel form match holder in the form of a wine barrel with a snake and snail among vines, height 2 1/2in and a crowing rooster on oval verde antique marble plinth, greatest height 3 1/4in.
