Folio (356 x 260 mm). 3 pp and 87 lithographed color plates. Quarter sheet advertisement to subscribers tipped in. Original cloth, upper cover titled in gilt. Lacking rear free endpaper, hinges cracked, scuff to upper cover, remnants of institutional label and numbers to spine, plates clean.
Provenance: Office of the Assistant Adjutant General, Department of the Columbia (bookplate, inkstamp to title).

FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY with label bearing "Compliments of Brig. Gen S.B. Holabird, Quartermaster General U.S. Army" pasted to title.
