Miss Nelson's Class Is Missing) by Harry Allard," 1982, 26 pp, ink, graphite and watercolor, 14 x 17 inches. Aquabee Bristol pad. With cover sketch in ink and watercolor and five manuscript pages laid in.
Although the story was to be credited to Allard, it is evident from this sketchbook that the text and pictures were to be both done by Marshall. In Marshall's hand: "Plot: Miss Nelson's kids get into trouble of some kind. Miss Viola Swamp comes to the rescue?—Yes this approach is best. She intimidates the policemen. 'Yes, Miss Swamp. Anything you say, Miss Swamp,' they said." Includes notes and sketches for a different story about little Phyllis Ogilby's first day at school.
