Autograph Letter Signed ("Laura Ingalls Wilder"), 1 p, 8vo, Mansfield, MO, June 28, 1949, to Rosalie Carr, thanking her for reading her stories, together with publisher's circular annotated and signed by Wilder, letter and circular creased and toned. With original transmittal envelope, soiled.
Wilder writes a note to a young fan: "I am the only one of my family living. / Mary Power, Cap Garland and Ida Brown died years ago and I have lost track of the others in my stories." On the circular, Wilder has identified an early picture of herself at 17, and another at 70. She adds, "We have sold the farm but will live in the old farm house."
