Folio (420 x 285 mm). Engraved throughout: title and 5 plates by Marie Anne Rousselet and Pierre François Tardieu after Jacques. 19th century parchment-backed boards. Plate 6 lightly toned, plate 4 with minor printing defect around right platemark, free endpapers toned, spine label chipped.

Jacques was employed as a dessinateur at the Gobelins under the direction of the architect Jacques-Germain Soufflot. Jacques' designs were influential, appearing, amongst other places, in tapestries and in the furniture of British cabinetmakers Mayhew and Ince. Guilmard 210.
