Period half black morocco over marbled boards, spine lettered and elaborately decorated in gilt, a.e.g. Two copies of plate 296 (Pinnated Grouse), lacks plate 381 (Snow Goose), some foxing, mainly to text and to plate guards, plates generally clean, although some with faint offset or light spots, bindings with some shelfwear, joints rubbed, vol. 7 with upper cover detached, corners rubbed.
