Some dust-soiling, one photograph chipped at corner, frontispiece creased, inner hinges repaired with cloth tape, worn.

The album contains a letterpress account in diary form of the march from Ahmedabad to Saugor (Sagar). From passing remarks in the text it is clear that most, if not all, of the photographs were taken by Captain Arthur Rice Knox. Comprises: officers on horseback (5, including the left, centre and right sections); marching to Mhow (6); Bhilsa (4, including street scene and bastion); artillery (4, including at Amla); Goruspur (2); Sanchi; group portraits of officers.
